However, if you're looking to save time and enjoy spectacular views without the sweat, the Table Mountain Aerial Cableway is the perfect alternative. This five-minute ride provides breathtaking panoramic views of the city and the coastline, making it a must-do experience. The cableway costs approximately R340 / £16 for a return ticket and it's advisable to book in advance to avoid long queues. Once at the top, take the time to soak in the stunning vistas, as you'll want to capture the beauty of Cape Town from this breathtaking vantage point. Whether you choose to hike or take the cable car, reaching the summit of Table Mountain is an unforgettable highlight of any Cape Town itinerary.

Wander through the streets, but be aware that it's best to take an Uber there and back, as the area isn’t the safest for tourists, especially after dark.

Camps Bay is a must-visit destination in Cape Town, drawing tourists from around the globe to experience its pristine beach, vibrant restaurants, and lively bars. Many of the accommodations in Camps Bay, from luxury hotels to cliffside villas, offer breathtaking views of the Atlantic Ocean and the iconic Table Mountain. Staying in this stunning beachside area ensures you're close to some of the best activities Cape Town has to offer.






  1. Explore The Old Biscuit Mill Market in Cape Town


Situated in Woodstock, The Old Biscuit Mill is home to artists, designers, restaurants and a market (including local food and designer boutique clothes) as well as office space. Apparently it's always busy and vibrant, which it was when we went there. I would recommend going here for a couple of hours and getting a taxi from Cape Town as there isn't much else around it and apparently it's not safe to walk there.


When we were there we managed to get a table at The Pot Luck Club restaurant. This 'sophisticated tapas' restaurant is on the 6th floor of The Old Biscuit Mill and whilst you eat you can take in the views of Table Mountain, the views are almost as good as the food. It's so hard to get a table here (because the food is AMAZING), but we went and asked on the off chance and they managed to fit us in. Horse riding on Noordhoek Beach is an unforgettable experience, even for those who aren't passionate about riding, like me! This activity allows you to explore one of the most beautiful beaches in South Africa, with its expansive 5-mile stretch of pristine white sand and breathtaking blue sea. Noordhoek Beach is frequently cited as one of the best beaches in the world, and it's easy to see why.


During the 1-hour horse riding session, riders of all experience levels, including beginners, are welcome. The stables, such as The Dunes Stables, ensure that each rider is paired with a suitable horse based on height, weight, and experience. As you ride along the stunning sandy shore, you'll enjoy the tranquil atmosphere and picturesque scenery. The horses are gentle, making for a relaxing ride along the coast. To book your session, simply message the stables in advance. For your comfort, it’s recommended to wear long trousers, trainers, and a sports bra (if you’re female).






  1. Spend a Day in Kalk Bay: A Charming Coastal Village Near Cape Town


We stayed in Kalk Bay for three days during our South Africa adventure, but it’s close enough to Cape Town for a perfect day trip. This charming fishing village has been named one of “The 12 Coolest Neighborhoods in the World,” offering a delightful contrast to the bustling areas like Camps Bay. Kalk Bay’s unique blend of a laid-back vibe and vibrant energy is evident in its cobbled streets, which are lined with charming cafes, vintage bookstores, and boutique shops. The local restaurant scene is exceptional, showcasing fresh seafood and international cuisine. Be sure to take a refreshing dip in the Dalebrook Tidal Pool, a stunning natural swimming spot with breathtaking views of the ocean and surrounding mountains.
